On Saturday 25th January from 12 to 3pm we’ll be having a policy meeting on the Climate Catastrophe and Labour’s London Manifesto. This will be held at the Hoxton Salvation Army on New North Road.

From 12-1pm we will discuss Sadiq Khan’s manifesto for the upcoming London Mayoral election. It would be great to get members thoughts and feedback on the manifesto so that we can feed these into the consultation. The link to the consultation can be found here: https://labour.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/sadiq-khan-2020-mayoral-policy-consultation-document.pdf

From 1-3pm, there will be an event on the impending climate catastrophe and what we can do about it, both locally and nationally. Speakers include Extinction Rebellion and Jon Burke, Hackney councillor and Cabinet Member for Energy, Waste, Transport and Public Realm. This event will focus on issues such as Labour’s Green New Deal; how we can work to resolve the crisis at a local, national and international level and how these solutions can tie in with Extinction Rebellion’s, the Council’s and the Party’s campaigns.

Those who have the time, are welcome to join us at a local pub afterwards to continue the discussions.

For further information or to RSVP before either event please email Amrita at amrita.rose@outlook.com (although there will be space if you turn up on the day too).
